Men's and Women's Swimming Fall at Delaware

Widener competed in its annual race against Division I Delaware and put forth several strong performances in Newark, DE.

Sophomore Laura Harris (Phoenix, MD) was second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:00.90 and third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:00.42. Junior Kelsey Lake (Ijamsville, MD) closed third in the 200-yard backstroke in 2:13.81 and sophomore Laura Farrar (Longmont, CO) was third in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:28.71.

For the men, sophomore Michael Lawley (Philadelphia, PA) was fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 55.58 seconds. Senior Charlie Schindler (Pasadena, MD) ended fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:24.99 and freshman Jeffrey Jones (Baltimore, MD) was fourth in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:09.78.

The men were handed a 197-51 loss and the women were dealt a 194-64 setback.

Widener on Saturday closes the regular season at home on Senior Day against Cabrini, beginning at 1:00 pm.
