Track & Field Makes Final Push at Swarthmore Last Chance Meet

Widener's track & field team saw several of its athletes compete at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet.

Freshman Tim Malloy (Langhorne, PA), the reigning Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor and Outdoor Rookie of the Year, had three strong showings.  Also tabbed Co-Field Athlete of the Meet at the Outdoor Championships, Malloy ended tied for third in the high jump at 1.93 meters, fourth in the 110-meter hurdles in 15.26 seconds and fourth in the triple jump at 13.61 meters.

Junior Nikita Halteman (Hatfield, PA) closed second in the discus throw at 36.85 meters.  This came one week after winning the shot put at the MAC Outdoor Championships.

Widener on Thursday and Friday competes at the ECAC Championships in Springfield, MA.
