Widener’s Jackie Elliott (Upper Darby, PA) notched her second award this week as she was tabbed ECAC Division III Metro/South Offensive Player of the Week.

Elliott had the game of all games April 8 against Alvernia, scoring a school-record 11 goals and matching the school mark with 12 points in Widener’s 19-16 victory. She needed just 16 shots to record a stunning .688 shooting percentage.

The 11 goals are tied for an NCAA Division III high this season with Sofia Lama of Puget Sound, which accomplished it against Linfield on March 8.  The mark also is three shy of the NCAA record.

A second team all-conference pick last season, Elliott this year is seventh in the MAC with 44 goals and tied for seventh with 53 points. She has 98 career goals.

The award comes days after Elliott was picked Middle Atlantic Conference Player of the Week.
