Widener senior strong safety Brian Pastor (Chambersburg, PA) has been tabbed CoSIDA first team Football Academic All-District.
It has been a solid year so far for Pastor, who is 20th in the Middle Atlantic Conference with 5.6 tackles per game and fifth with 45 tackles. He also has 28 solo tackles, an interception and three pass deflections.
Among his single-game highlights include 12 tackles with 10 solos against King's on October 10, a forced fumble at FDU-Florham on October 2 and a 31-yard interception return vs. Lycoming on October 17.
Last season, Pastor was tied for second on the team with two interceptions and sixth overall with 45 tackles.
Pastor is a two-year member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll and sports a 3.868 GPA in Management.
By being named first team, he is eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America Awards that are announced on November 24.
Widener on Saturday visits Wilkes for a 1:00 pm kickoff.
