Widener senior goalkeeper Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) was picked Commonwealth Conference Men’s Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week for the second time in three weeks.
Correa made 10 saves over two games for the Pride last week. He had six Wednesday at Elizabethtown and added four Saturday in a 1-0 triumph at Albright.
The victory Saturday was a shared shutout for Correa and gives him 7 1/2, breaking the previous single-season school record of seven set by Mark McManus in 1999.
Correa, who last year was tabbed second team all-league, is fifth in the league this season with a 1.20 goals-against average, third with a .774 save percentage and fourth with 4.24 saves per game.
