Widener permitted a goal in the 84th minute and was handed a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference loss at Elizabethtown.

The Blue Jays (14-2-1, 4-1-1 CC) tallied in the 84th minute when Taylor Helsel took a through ball from Javeim Blanchette and shot it inside the near post.

Elizabethtown closed with a 20-6 shots edge that included 9-4 in the second half.  Blanchette took five shots and Eric Carr made five saves.

Kyle Brucker (Perkasie, PA) fired two shots and fellow senior Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) made six saves for the Pride (5-8-3, 2-3-1).

Widener sits fifth in the conference with seven points and Lebanon Valley is fourth with nine.  For the Pride to make the league tournament, it would need to beat Albright on Saturday and hope the Dutchmen lose at home to Lycoming.

The Albright match in Reading, PA begins at 8:00 pm.
