Men's Soccer Falls, 1-0, to Lebanon Valley

Widener gave up an early goal and was dealt a 1-0 Commonwealth Conference loss by Lebanon Valley at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

 

The Dutchmen (8-6-2, 3-3 CC) scored in the third minute as Andrew Cooper headed home a feed from Jordan Auman.

 

Senior Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) made six saves for the Pride, who could not overcome a 17-10 shots discrepancy.

 

Cooper took four shots and Andrew Raudensky made three saves for Lebanon Valley.

 

Widener on Wednesday visits Elizabethtown for a rescheduled conference match, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Sophomore Abby Schaffer automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships, winning the pole vault at 3.85 meters at the ECAC Championships.  Her mark also broke the meet and facility record.
