Men's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw Against Arcadia

Widener posted a decided shots advantage in the two overtimes, but was unable break the tie and settled for a 0-0 Commonwealth Conference draw against Arcadia at Leslie C. Quick Jr. Stadium.

 

The Pride (5-6-3, 2-1-1 CC) outshot Arcadia 7-0 in the extra frames, including two from both sophomore Dan Lorenzet (Forest Hill, MD) and junior Justin Hovaker (Pasadena, MD), but could not find the back of the net.

 

Senior Hamed Correa (Cali, Colombia) recorded his seventh shutout of the season, making three saves for Widener.

 

Joe Clementi took four shots for the Knights (10-4-2, 3-0-1).

 

Widener hosts Lebanon Valley on Saturday at 4:00 pm.

Sophomore Abby Schaffer automatically qualified for the NCAA Championships, winning the pole vault at 3.85 meters at the ECAC Championships.  Her mark also broke the meet and facility record.
