Widener University Athletics

Patti Flanagan is in her third year as an assistant coach for Widener and works primarily with the defense. Flanagan has served as the head coach for the Medford Lakes Lacrosse Club. She organized the day-to-day operations for a sixth-eighth grade team and helping them compete in high-level tournaments in New Jersey and Maryland. Flanagan also served as a physical education and health teacher at Rancocas Valley High School, a substitute teacher for the Southampton schools and a student assistant at Montclair State University. She competed collegiately at Montclair State, being named Honorable Mention All-America and first team all-conference in 2006. Flanagan also was the team’s captain her junior and senior years. She has been a part of TALON (Teaching Athletes Learning Opportunities Now), facilitating discussions with student-athletes and creating community service projects. Flanagan has volunteered at the Community Food Bank of New Jersey Food Shelter and conducted a lacrosse clinic at Montclair State. Flanagan graduated Montclair State in 2007 with a degree in Health and Physical Education.
