Kimberly Kenworthy is in her first year as Widener’s cheerleading coach.
Kenworthy cheered varsity four years at nearby Penncrest High School in Media. She helped her squad reach the national championships in Orlando, FL.
Collegiately, Kenworthy played lacrosse four years for Shippensburg University. She was tabbed first team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference as well as second team all-region. She was a two-year captain, a two-year member of SAAC, a member of the Dean’s List and a member of the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll.
Kenworthy graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a B.S. in Biology. She received her doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia.
Kenworthy is a physical therapist for Fox Rehabilitation and also has served as a student extern and aide at Thomas Jefferson Hospital.
She also has done community service with breast cancer awareness, juvenile arthritis research, volunteered for patients with physiological disorders, an MS bike tour, Hands of Hope for a men’s homeless shelter and raising cancer awareness for the Baltimore Marathon.
